The County Council will also contribute actively to the development of the regional transportation system. It is essential to regard land use and transportation as a whole; in this connection the County Council will contribute with solutions that pay due consideration to environment, road safety, efficient traffic flow as well as safe living environments.

Upper secondary school pupils travel free if their school is situated more than six kilometres away from home.
