The environmental policy of Akershus County Council focuses on two areas, viz. the climate and water management.
A superior aim of the County Council is contributing to a sustainable regional development.
Climate
Akershus County Council has definite objectives with respect to the emission of greenhouse gas in the county. A specific plan has been made with a view to reducing the emissions.
Water quality:
The water quality of Akerhus is to be improved, as seven areas of the county will be having their water thoroughly cleared by 2015.
