Dental care
Akershus County Council offers free public dental care to certain groups, eg all persons until the age of 18. We have several clinics throughout the county, many of which also receive adult patients.
The following groups have a right to dental care free of charge:

Children 0-18 years
- Mentally handicapped people
- Residents of nursing and retirement homes
- Certain users of home nursing care (who have been under care for more than three months at least once a week)
- Certain drug abusers (drug abusers receiving municipal services pursuant to section 4-2 a-d and section 4-3 of the social law for three months or more, or going through medical rehabilitation (LAR) pursuant to section 4-2 of the social law).
