Protection of cultural monuments
Akershus County Council contributes to the conservation of important cultural monuments in the county through counselling service, archaeological examinations and financial support.
The County Council is also authorized to initiate the preservation of important cultural monuments and to handle applications concerning alterations to preserved buildings.
